Job description
|
・ Support business line to implement measures to ensure full compliance with local and BMW Group’s legal and compliance requirements.
・ Provide legal services (resolution) to business and operational divisions, especially Installment Sales Act, Money Lending Business Act, Advertisement Law, Anti-Trust Law and Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds.
・ Execute Shareholder’s Meeting and BOD Meeting, and prepare and submit documents required by laws and regulations.
・ Contribute and drive implementation of compliance processes, controls, and relevant IT-systems.
・ Maintain and update internal regulations to ensure compliance with evolving laws and regulations in Japan and guidelines from the German headquarters. Regular and ad-hoc compliance reporting to local management board, compliance HQ functions and relevant local supervisory authorities.
・ Ensures internal/external Compliance audits are conducted smoothly and follow-up internally are done timely.
・ Conduct training and awareness programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to legal and compliance requirements.

Job qualification
|
・ Minimum Bachelor’s degree (law or similar)
・ More than 4 years of working experience in corporate legal practices, or, more than 4 years of working experience in corporate compliance department with legal background.
・ Sufficient ability to create, review legal/compliance documents i.e. contract forms, internal guidelines both in Japanese (and English preferred).
・ Sufficient ability to prepare reports, business license documents to be submitted to authorities.
・ Pro-active, integrative, solution driven with pragmatic approach, high degree of integrity and independence, strong team worker.
・ Sound understanding of MS Excel, MS Word & PowerPoint.
・ Excellent, close and business friendly communication and negotiation skills.
・ Language: Japanese (Business) and English (Business).
・ Candidates must have experience in either Legal or Compliance; a background in both is preferred. Expectation towards this Position is to be able to handle both Legal and Compliance topics within 3 years.
